At the end of past week Intel extend information about xeon processors with the arbitrary symbol jasper forest, which will appear in the first quarter 2010 in the segment of built in solutions. These processors combine 45 nm technology and nehalem architectures , and their modular structure allows to create processors with a quantity of core from one to four and the TDP level from 23 to 85 W.
Telecommunication equipment, data storage systems , industrial computers - are the examples of standard application spheres of jasper forest processors . Besides the three-channel memory controller , they will obtain the built-in PCI express 2.0 controller, which manages sixteen lines of the corresponding interface. Several systems can be united in a cluster on PCI express interface. The processors jasper forest also supports the RAID hardware acceleration and data protection technology.
Intel provides for Jasper forest seven-year life cycle, which allows corporate users to plan the modernization of server within this period.
On IDF fall 2009 also Intel reported detail about the 32 nm processors sodaville, which relate to atom family . They are the close relatives Of moorestown, oriented for smart phone market and mobile Internet- devices. At the nearest IDF session Intel company will again recall to community that it began the production of 32 nm processors with nehalem architecture , their first commercial deliveries were planned for the fourth quarter this year. However, the official announcement of clarkdale and Arrandale processors is planned only for the first quarter 2010. Related Products :
