X1300 HDMI
TO GET AN HDMI connector on a graphics card you have to get rid of the second display port. The Radeon X1600 HDMI has one VGA out and one DVI, with an external SPDIF out.
Power Color is working on an Radeon X1300 HDMI card that will end up rather cheap. The point of this card won't be to play games, it will allow you to watch a HD quality video on your screen.
The card is still quite some time away, as we don't think it will be ready before Computex, but the company is sure getting ready for the revolution. The only problem is that you can get the same picture quality if you transfer the picture via DVI cable. Just about any graphic card can do it now. You will only lack sound and even if you transfer the sound to your TV via HDMI you will end up with stereo only, as your TV usually can not do better than that.
Only a few very expensive surround amplifiers have HDMI connector and in that case you can get your HD signal from your PC to the amplifier and then from amplifier to your TV. In that case you again end up with at least two cables
