We already informed, that AMD company is going to stop making Athlon 64 one-core processors , offering instead of them cheaper dual core Athlon 64 X2. This reduction should start actions in this month, and colleagues from site DailyTech have told about the discontinued production of some Athlon 64 models .
So, AMD has informed the distributors, that from the end of June it will stops to accept orders for delivery of processors Athlon 64 3000 + and Athlon 64 3200 + Socket 939. Deliveries under existing orders will be carried out till December of this year. Moreover, models Athlon 64 3000 + and Athlon 64 3200 + Socket 754, Socket 939 and Socket AM2 have disappeared from a database of AMD processors.

Obviously, deliveries of models Athlon 64 3000 + and Athlon 64 3200 + will be stopped for all designs. AMD specifies the reason which have pushed it to such measures . the request from certain consumers " to simplify roadmap for these products ".
