Only today we have recorded some extreme cooling solution by intel Core 2 Extreme X6800 processor with frequencies of 5.1 GHz the cooling used is nitrogen liquid , here is how lok the boxed cpu The serial code of conroe cpu is even writed in the cooler As you can see, one of the most powerful processors at the moment is equipped with modest enough cooler with -TDP level does not exceed 75 w. The air cooled overclocking result using the Tuniq Tower 120 , intel D975XBX and vcore of 1.6v was about 4ghz (stable) .using the same setup but now with liquid nitrogen allowed to overclock the conroe cpu up 5266 MHz .then we got the nice super pi score of 9.828 s Note that memory used is DDR2 working at 1012 MHz and with 4-4-3-1-20 timing. | ||
