However, for those, who cannot afrode in conroe motherboard, Intel company has left two elder models on core Presler: Pentium D 960 (3.6 GHz) and Pentium D 950 (3.4 GHz), having lowered their cost to $316 and $224 respectively. During September these processors will go to the stepping D0.
Intel has removed from production the following processors models :
- Pentium D 840 (3.2 GHz) - > SL8CM (B0);
- Pentium D 830 (3.0 GHz) - > SL8CN (B0);
- Pentium D 940 (3.2 GHz) - > SL95W (Sy);
- Pentium D 930 (3.0 GHz) - > SL95X (Sy).
Models Pentium D 840 and Pentium D 830 even did not lose in the price this month - everything hinted for their fast decease. The processors 0.09 core Smithfield (Pentium D 8xx) can be ordered until 15 December, 2006, the last party of box processors will be dispatched on 9 March, 2007, the last party of OEM processors will left on 8 February, 2008. In a word, desired can purchased these intolerably hot processors. in other word such prices and with such characteristics they will be hardly to necessary someone this autumn.
Analogous periods are provided for the removal of processors Pentium D 930 and Pentium D 940. Processor Pentium D 920 (2.8 GHz) has already got a reduction in price earlier, it was not even transferred into stepping C1. The place of these processors will be remplaced by models Pentium D 945 (3.4 GHz), Pentium D 925 (3.0 GHz) and Pentium D 915 (2.8 GHz).
