Discussing on the last records of the extreme overclocking of Conroe processors , we noted that 100% increase in  frequency already has been reached. In the case of processor Core 2 Extreme X6800 obtaining this result is limited. Actually, this Conroe model  must be clocked to 5.86 GHz  to reach such result. From other side,  proportional overclocker of   low-end Conroe processors  has driven  their motherboard to the limit of their system bus  . increasing the frequency of the processor  series Core 2 duo E6xxx by two times, this was  possible after increasing the bus frequency to 533 MHz. I should noted that reaching such frequencies is the system bus is not guaranted only few motherboard are capable of such result . In a word, getting 100%  of increase in  frequency with the aid of Conroe processor 1066 MHz bus is done by balance between the coefficient value and the motherboard bus frequency , which would ensure the stable work of system under the load. Coefficient  it was set to its maximal value, and the frequency of system bus has rawlly  exceeded 533 MHz. and here is the result gotten the processor was just abrove 4.8 GHz, but this   was completely sufficient to get in 100% overclock. vcore volatage of the processor was increased to 1.7 v, on the memory  to 2.45 v, vchipset was left to default value. the motherboard used was Asus P5B Deluxe (P965) using the bios version 0505. Under load the processor was able to work also with the 102 percent of overclock, at the frequency of 4.85 GHz. As you see, this is not a record for the extreme cooling frequency in terms of the absolute value, simply the combination of the system components  was successfully  selected . the memory used is Corsair Twin2x102b-5400ul worked in  synchronous regime   "1:1" with    timing of 4-4-4-12, in regime Ddr2-1078. It goes without saying, this  increase in   frequency with the use of the existing Conroe processors  and tmotherboards can not be easly repeated  from each overkloker.  With the advent  models of series Core 2 e4xxx with 800 MHz bus increase in the frequency by 100% will be dowable even with the use of air cooling. . Unfortunately, processor Core 2 duo E4300 with a nominal frequency of 1.8 GHz and the cost less than $183 will show up not earlier than the first quarter of 2007. Later will appeare mononuclear versions "single core" the so-called core Conroe- L with 800 MHz buse and 1 mb cache . Related Products :
