Our permanent readers already remember that LGA 775 processors give possibility to raise the bus frequency to 1066 MHz by closing some contacts on the processor - the so called BSEL mod. such modifications was interssing for many Conroe processors owners ,especially when they encountered the limited overclocking possibilities in current motherboards.
Associates solved this question by the increase of vcore for Conroe cpu by closing some contact areas. It is noted that there are varieties of Conroe with the different values of nominal vcore. Associates examined the vcore modification with nominal value of 1.325 v and 1.2875 v.
The absence of pins on the processor will make the modification simpler: there is no need for wire loops, it is sufficient to be armed with an insulating tape and current-conducting pen. So this would be enough to connect a pairs of contacts in processor, necessarily to be risk free to use the insulating tape, and then applie the current-conducting varnish.
Some modifications imply to not only to connection of contacts, but also the isolation of single contacts. For this small piece using the insulating tape was sufficient (red point in the photograph).
here is how to get the the conroe pin volt mod 1.4 v.

using insulting tape

applaying conductive paste

here is the conroe pin volt mod 1.45 v

the 1.5 v volt mod

the 1.55 v volt mod

the 1.6 v volt mod

this mod is pretty easy and usfull for those motherboard witch don't allow vcore adjustment .remenber that u are dowing this mod at your own risk and such Voltage Modifications would void your warranty ... Related Products :
