Asus company developed two new motherboard models maximus III Formula and Maximus III GENE, and they are both part of republic of gamers (ROG) series. Those motherboards are created for overclock. The difference between them consists in their form factor. Formula standard ATx, i.e., has standard overall sizes and can be placed only in the relatively large case , and GENE is the mATx- version, made specially for those, who look for a compact case.

Both motherboards are based on chipset Intel p55 and they are equipped with socket LGA1156, and they are intended for the recently released Intel lynnfield processors. Asus also released some new technology on them GameFirst, control net traffic and ensure the minimum response time . The second technology, Speeding HDD, allow to attain almost two-fold better performance from the disk subsystem. Related Products :
