iSuppli agency published a new report : The increased cost of solid-state memory strongly limited the increase in SSD sales in the notebook segment . However, the owners of server system data storage actively buy SSD, realizing such advantages of this storage type as high operation speed , low energy consumption and compact sizes. In the final analysis, SSD use in servers allow to decrease expenditures.
In 2010-2011, in the opinion of iSuppli experts , corporate segment will demonstrate a steady increase in SSD demand . To 2013 the volume of yearly SSD sales will reach 65 ml pieces, whereas in 2009 this volume will be equal to 5,8 ml pieces.
