The sales volumes of netbook continue to grow, but is lower rates in comparison with the previous years. Many experts speak about the being approached market saturation, producers try to draw buyer by developed functional possibilities, qualitative displays and other options, which increase the cost of netbook.
Forecasts on the development of market for mobile computers recently shared gartner agency. In the first quarter, this year unique record was set - the sales volumes of mobile computers grew by 43,4% in comparison with the analogous period last year. This is the highest value in the last eight years. In the natural expression, the volume of realized mobile computers reached 49,4 ml pieces. Basic demand proceeded from the consumer segment, but to the end of the present year Gartner analysts expect a considerable increase in the purchases volumes from the side of corporate users. This will allow to raise the realization price of mobile computer, since the business- netbook models usually cost more expensive than consumer analog.
In the first quarter, the sales volumes of netbook grew by 71% in comparison with the analogous period last year. However, in some regions the portion of netbook in the mobile segment began to be reduced, since on the market appeared accessible full-scale notebook, and a part of users could not be reconciled with the inconveniences of classical netbook. In this year will be sold about 41,8 ml netbook, which is by 30% higher than last year. Now netbook occupy 18,6% of market for mobile computers, but to 2014 their portion can be reduced to 13,9%.
Acer and Asus, occupying second and fifth places in the rating of most important producers of mobile computers respectively, increased their production sales volumes by 48,4% and 113% in comparison with the first quarter 2009. HP and Dell, which occupy the first and third places respectively, demonstrated increase below average.
The same agency reports that on the sums of 2010 the volume of world market for computers as a whole will increase by 22% to $245,4 billion market for home computers will grow by 29,5%, corporate segment will ensure only 13,1% increase.
