According to some official Intel company documents, a number of chipsets sixth series, oriented to the consumer market segment, actually will not support PCI. However, it will be preserved for chipset same series, oriented to the corporate market segment.
Precisely saying, chipset Intel P67, H67 and H61 will not support PCI. Other three chipsets, Intel q67, Q65 and B65, preserved PCI support. Motherboards on base of three first chipset will use a specialized controller for the realization of PCI support. Another significant update will become the support of SATA-600 ports- their quantity will vary from one to two depending on the chipset model, but Intel h61 will not support SATA-600.
