Gigabyte company was prepared for the introduction of support to the processors core 2 Duo with 1333 MHz system bus using motherboard on the base of chipset intel p965, as we already reported. Officially the support of these processors must ensure only the chipsets of family bearlake and also flag chipsets ATI and NVIDIA for intel platform . Let us recall that the support of 1333 MHz system bus was added in motherboard gigabyte on base of chipset intel p965 in the end of December with bios update, and the reference about the revision 3.3, for which was provided for the exceptional right of support to the 1333 MHz system bus. The bios update then appeared for many motherboards series GA -965p: Associates published interview with the representative of gigabyte company about the release of motherboard revision 3.3. By the way, these motherboards will be present already during January, but a similar modernization is provided only for products on the base of chipset intel p965: GA -965P-Dq6; GA -965P-Ds4; GA -965P-DS3p; GA -965P-Ds3; GA -965P-s3. Thus, for the revision 3.3 ,the enumerated motherboards will provid the support of processors intel with 1333 MHz system bus. Let us note that Intel will not release the special chipset revision  p965, which would support 1333 MHz system bus .with this mission are charged the new chipsets of family bearlake. The introduction of 1333 MHz system bus support for the motherboard on the base of chipset intel p965 is the invention Of gigabyte, which, however, will catch other motherboard producers . As report the gigabyte representatives , the support of 1333 of system bus is possible for good old i975X. Why Gigabyte does indicate the possibility to the support of 1333 MHz system bus in the BIOS update for the motherboard with older revisions. First, update BIOS for the motherboard on base of one chipset are usually done in diagram, immediately for all models. Secondly, all gigabyte motherboards on the base of chipset intel p965 (including the revisions 1.x and 2.x) originally were developed with the prospect of introducing the support of 1333 MHz system bus. The motherboard revisions 1.x and 2.x will support processors with 1333 MHz system bus after update BIOS, but there is one nuance… More precisly speaking, there is two nuances . First, the operational stability of the previous revisions motherboard  at the frequency of system bus 1333 MHz did not satisfy developers; therefore they decided in revision 3.3 to introduce new components and to slightly change the design of motherboard. So, these motherboards will be also equipped with capacitors with the solid-state polymeric electrolyte as all update from Gigabyte. The second nuance concerns the memory operation modes with the operation of processors at 1333 MHz system bus. The old motherboard revisions use only a thickness-frequency ratio of memory 2.0x, because of that with the frequency of system bus at 1333 MHz memory will works only in regime DDR 2-667. Revision 3.3 introduces the support of the thickness-frequency ratio in the memory with 2.5x, which allows to overclock the memory to the regime DDR 2-833. Motherboard revisions 3.3 will appear at the end of January, There will be no difference in price for Motherboard revisions 3.3, and they must soon replace the old Motherboard revisions.
