The South Korean company samsung within the exhibition FPD international 2010 showed liquid-crystal monitor with 10,1 inches, which will become a base for tablet computers and new generation netbook. For comparisons, the produced by samsung company liquid-crystal monitor with 0,5 millimeters thickness (without illumination) have the weight of 130 grams. The presented on the exhibition LCD weight 29 grams .
The fundamental characteristics of new liquid-crystal display are : supported resolution composes 1024 X 600 pixel , brightnesses 250 CD/sq. m, contrast 1000:1. The color scope is 50 percent of NTSC- gamma. The production of new displays is not combined with significant technological difficulties . All remaining components of liquid-crystal monitor did not change, but therefore, the production of devices can be begun in the nearest time. According to samsung company , the first commercial product on base of LCD- displays with 1,8 millimeters thickness will appear during two-three years . . | ||
