HTC company , which is the second largest Asian producer of smart phones, sued Apple company. In the lawsuit appear patents obtained by HTC from Google last week.
Nine patents previously owned by Palm, Motorola and Openwave Systems companies, have been collected by Google in the last year. According to the U.S. Patent Office, on 1 September , Google has transferred its patents rights to HTC .
The lawsuit was filed in federal court in Delaware. Apple violated four of the nine above-mentioned patents, which were originally issued by Motorola. HTC simultaneously filed a complaint with the Commission on International Trade in the U.S., claiming that Apple has violated three patents, once issued by Openwave, and has two patents previously owned by Palm.
Some time ago, Apple filed a patent infringement suit against several manufacturers of smart phones that use Google Android, including Samsung Electronics, Motorola Mobility and HTC.
Openwave company also filed a lawsuit against Apple , alleging infringement of five patents.
