To us it is already known that in the second quarter 2007 will appear the new mobile of platform santa rosa from Intel, which will brings the support of processors merom with 800 MHz system bus using socket P. these processors they will lose reverse compatibility with processors merom socket M. in mobile segment the succession of platforms is important, first of all, for producers, but not for users, since last rarely update the processors of their notebook. We could ascertain that in desktop segment Intel plans to stimulate passage to the new platform with 1333 MHz system bus support  by low price methods. As it is explained, in the mobile segment analogous measures will be taken the sixth May of this year, when will takes place the announcement of platform santa rosa. With this price policy Intel will stimulate users to buy notebook on the base of new processors with 800 MHz system bus. However, the entire notebook as a result can be cheaper than older model on the base of processor with 667 MHz system bus (witch is not usually the case :-)). In the third quarter will be released the processor core 2 Extreme x7800 (2.6 GHz) with the free multiplier, which will be in gaming notebook with SLI technology .
