Sony after the unsuccessful experiment with memory card format Memory Stick, took over the promotion of new standard called XQD. It is assumed that these cards will become an attribute of digital video cameras in high definition format or in stereoscopic mode.  CompactFlash Association Organization approved specifications of memory cards XQD. Drives of this type are expected to to provide bandwidth of up to 125 MB / s, which will contribute to the possibility of PCI Express interface (theoretical data rate is 2.5 Gbit / s ). The memory card has the body size 38.5 x 29.8 x 3.8 millimeters.
