Video card geForce 7900 GS and GeForce 7950 GT for long time ago was moved in the average price range, where they had time to acquire a set of modifications with high frequencies, alternative cooling systems and even interface AGP 8x. Similar freedom allow some NVIDIA partners to create unique products on the base of chip g71. Associates from in the middle of this month described about interesting video card by name geForce 7900 GE, which was prescribed in galaxy technology production . Let us note immediately that until this video card is encountered only in China, but we do not see reasons, on which such card cannot appear on other market. In general, GeForce 7900 GE is the overclocked version geForce 7900 GS with 256 mb memory of type GDDR- 3 with its own design from galaxy. Video card has 256- bit system bus and it is equipped with 1.2 ns memory from samsung production  . Producer set for this video card : frequency 600/1500 MHz, which is much higher than 450/1320 MHz for default GeForce 7900 GS. However, Chinese associates assert that video card works at default frequencies 600/1600 MHz. The design of cooling system is well made : aluminum cooler with radiators installed on memory microcircuits . Here we have also additional power connector, which must contribute in good overclock result. This video card is equipped with two microcircuits BIOS, and user here can switch between them. Obviously, in one of BIOS microcircuits it is possible to store default setting, and in another - more aggressive. After consultations with specialists associates came to the conclusion that GeForce 7900 GE from Galaxy was based on new revision of chip g71 (on left photo ), which is named ( G71- S ). It is considered that this chip support HDCP and it is characterized by the increased overclocking potential. It is strange that tracing logotype NVIDIA on this chip is old. This video card has the increased video chip supply voltage - from 1.3 v to 1.41 v, and this factor for sure contributes to higher overclock . So the video card geForce 7900 GE was overclocked without problems to frequencies 700/1900 MHz, on which were passed all tests. In China this video card cost $168. Here how look different 79xx chips : 7900 GE 7900 GS 7900 GT 7900 GTX And finally here is the card performance tested in - Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800 - DDR2 1152 1GB×2 (800MHz 4-4-4-8-1T) - Forceware 93.71WHQL: From the start we can clearly feel the 7900GE power .The stock version  has already 23 k (Note the 7950 GT score only 21 K) .The high clock frequency help to archive such high score . and the overclocked version show a additional 3 K over the stock 11 .5 K for the overclocked card is already very good result we should also note that this score is slightly higher than The 7900GTX version.   As conclusion this is the 168 $ - 7900GTX card :-) Related Products :
