Yesterday's news about the possibility of delay with the announcement of chips g84 and G86 due to the need of passage from revision A2 to the next A3 caused perturbation . But why nvidia need to witch from revision A2 to revision A3? The promised later overclocked versions geForce 8600 GTS will be based on chip revision A3. However, there is no need to wait until the appearance of those overclocked by producers video card geForce 8600 GTS in order to obtain access to the chip g84 revision A3. The majority of chips revision A2 will be realized in the composition of video card geForce 8600 GT, which work at frequencies 540/1400 MHz. According to updated data, the version geForce 8600 GTS with 256 mb memory will be sold on price from $199, but version with 512 mb memory of type GDDR- 3 will cost not less than $229.
