Intel has introduced solid state drives, enterprise-class 910 series, which were previously known under the code name Ramsdale . The decision is made in the format of an expansion card with PCI Express interface and is designed to meet the demands of data centers associated with the development of cloud infrastructures, virtualization technology and the increase in the volume of online transactions.  At the core lies SSD controller developed by Intel, the chipset and memory HET-MLC NAND, made on 25 nm technology, the total volume may reach 400 or 800 GB. Mechanism implemented in the product Intel High Endurance, as stated in the official press release, will ensure smooth operation for five years, with 10 complete cycles, records every day.  The claimed serial data read speed is 2 Gbytes / sec write speed - 1 GB / s. When working with random blocks of 4 KB Drive is able to perform up to 180,000 I / O per second (IOPS) for reading, and up to 75,000 IOPS when writing.
