MSI is planning to strengthen the direction of motherboards in the product range by adding a new series MPower, which will focus on gamers and overclockers. In Computex associate managed to capture two representatives of the newly released series : Z77 MPower and X79 MPower LGA 1155 and LGA 2011, respectively.
The motherboard Z77 MPower is based on the design MS-7751 v3.0, and obviously has a lot to do with Z77A-GD65 (MS-7751 v2.1). The processor installed in the motherboard Z77 MPower, is powered by a 16-phase voltage converter, 24-pin ATX and 8-pin EPS connection .
Among the expansion slots, there are three PCI Express 3.0 x16 (16x or 8x8or x8x4x4) and four PCI Express x1.
The motherboard has 4-port USB 3.0, Wireless Adapter Wi-Fi, Gigabit Ethernet adapter and a set of video outputs. Among the overclocking features there is V-Check connectors for test equipment, LED POST-codes, a BIOS backup chip.
The motherboard X79 MPower has a 9 phase voltage converter, eight slots for memory, five-slot PCI Express x16, one slot PCI Express x1, six SATA 6 Gb / s and four SATA 3 Gb / s.
