In the beginning of December 2006 , AMD was purchased ATI company , and sales income level allowed AMD to enter in the tens most important semiconductor producers . In 2006 AMD raised its rating from 15 to 7. The first five leaders are : Intel, Samsung, Texas instruments, Toshiba and STMicroelectronics. The activity result of AMD companies in the first quarter 2007 are supplied and analytics published their version for the most important semiconductor producers .  The data about sales capacities were evaluation in terms of money for the first quarter 2007 and entire 2006. Let us note immediately that this rating differ from the examined earlier, since both ratings are done by different sources. The first and second places traditionally are occupied by Intel and Samsung . In the third place (from the fifth) we find Toshiba, followed by Texas instruments and Hynix. Next we have Sony, Micron and Qimonda. infineon remain in 16 place.   As far as AMD is concerned, in this rating it drop from 13 place to 17. There is nothing surprising,  the first quarter of the present year was pretty hard for AMD . Price war with Intel did not give AMD possibility to fix its financial indices.
