GA-P35T-DQ6/GA-P35-DQ6

Taipei, Taiwan, May 21, 2007 – GIGABYTE UNITED INC., a leading manufacturer of motherboards and graphics cards today proudly unveiled the flagship GA-P35T-DQ6 and GA-P35-DQ6, based on the highly efficient Intel® P35 chipset and introducing the latest GIGABYTE Ultra Durable 2 design. Delivering unparalleled system stability, durability and extreme overclocking performance, the new GIGABYTE GA-P35T-DQ6 and GA-P35-DQ6 promise to be enthusiasts and gamers most wanted motherboards of 2007.

Featuring the Intel® P35 chipset, with optimized system memory capabilities and chipset overspeed protection removed for maximum overclocking performance, the GIGABYTE GA-P35T-DQ6 and GA-P35-DQ6 motherboards support the latest Intel multi-core processors up to FSB 1333MHz, including the upcoming 45nm platform, with its record breaking performance and greater energy efficiency. Delivering native support for next generation DDR3 memory up to 1333MHz, the GA-P35T-DQ6 allows users to take advantage of higher memory performance with less power consumption to run the even the most memory intensive applications such as high-definition video and 3D visualization with ease*. The GIGABYTE GA-P35T-DQ6 and GA-P35-DQ6 also support ATI CrossFire™ technology, providing dual PCI Express connectivity for high performance, high-definition entertainment platforms.

Further building on GIGABYTE’s industry leading position for top quality design, the GA-P35T-DQ6 and GA-P35-DQ6 feature the revolutionary GIGABYTE Ultra Durable 2 design, equipped with ferrite core choke coils, low RDS(on) MOSFETs and all-solid capacitors for increased reliability and longevity. Ferrite core chokes are able to provide higher frequency operation for improved overclocking performance, lower temperatures, lower electromagnetic interference and improved resistance to rust, while low RDS(on) MOSFETs provide a more efficient gate switching process resulting in less heat generation. In addition, the GIGABYTE GA-P35T-DQ6 and GA-P35-DQ6 utilize all Japanese manufactured SMD (Surface Mount Device) solid capacitors which provide higher heat resistance, increased performance, extended system reliability and are more environmental friendly than less expensive electrolytic capacitors.

The motherboards’ unique design includes features such as Quad Cooling, Quad e-SATA2, Quad BIOS, and Quad-Triple Power Phase that enable the user to fully utilize all the latest technologies. Adding to these is the new all new copper GIGABYTE Silent Pipe thermal solution covering the north bridge, south bridge and CPU power MOSFETs, dramatically reducing the general CPU zone temperature. The GIGABYTE GA-P35T-DQ6 and GA-P35-DQ6 also are equipped with the latest Realtek ALC889A, enabling high quality Full Rate Lossless Audio for content protected media and support for both Blu-ray and HD DVD formats for an exhilarating home theater entertainment experience. The ALC889A also provides support for 7.1 + 2 channel high definition output for an outstanding audio experience for Windows® Vista™ Premium PCs.

*The GA-P35-DQ6 offers native support for DDR2 memory up to 1066MHz.

GIGABYTE 6 Quad Features

Quad BIOS
Quad BIOS is another feature unique to GIGABYTE that includes DualBIOS and Express BIOS Rescue Technology. This combination delivers a safety assurance mechanism that sports a total of 4 copies of BIOS distributed between the hard-disk and driver CD. This feature helps to reduce the affects of virus attacks or firmware damage and provides multi-layer BIOS protection that assures greater PC platform stability.

Quad Cooling
This revolutionary cooling design combines Crazy Cool and the new Silent-Pipe technology that caters to the cooling needs of the PCB around the CPU, the MOSFET modules, the north bridge and the south bridge. Quad Cooling allows users to enjoy longer component lifetime through lower temperatures and absolute silence combined with the ultimate thermal performance on chipsets, CPU power components and the PCB.

Quad e-SATA 2
Four sets of external SATA ports based on the Serial ATA 3Gb/s storage specification allow effortless sharing and transfer of entertainment content and digital media on external devices. Designed for external SATA devices, Quad e-SATA2 delivers enhanced scalability and double the bus bandwidth for high-speed data retrieval and saving On-The-Go.

Quad Triple Phase
A feature found exclusively on GIGABYTE motherboards, this unique design incorporates 12 Power Phases to deliver steadier power and immediate current support for the CPU during heavy work loads or over-clocking. Additionally, Quad-Triple Phase helps to improve component lifespan system stability by delivering lower component temperature.

Quad Core Ready
The new platform from GIGABYTE allows users to experience the power of Dual core processors and be prepared for Quad Core processors well in advance. Dual Core processors allow users to process more tasks simultaneously. Similarly, Quad Core processors are set to be introduced soon and will enable even more multitasking with greater performance and reduced power consumption.

Quad DDR3/DDR2 Slots
With quad DDR3 memory slots featuring native support up to 1333MHz memory on the GA-P35T-DQ6, users are able to experience a dramatic boost in memory performance through faster speeds, higher data bandwidth for memory intensive applications and less energy consumption. For the GA-P35-DQ6, GIGABYTE offers quad DDR2 memory slots for up to 1066MHz native memory support.
