Recently Qualcomm company admitted that it can receive semiconductor solutions 28-nm generation in any desired quantities.
TSMC increased production of the most advanced 28-nm solutions at accelerated pace. So, in November, the planned production capacity of 50,000 wafers with 28-nm semiconductors was exceeded by 2000 pieces. December volume - 68,000 plates - can be exceeded already by 8000-12000 plates that make 75000-80000 wafers per month.
Note that Apple in 2013 may have about 35,000 wafers per month with a 28-nm processors for the next generation iPad. Analysts have doubts that Samsung produce similar volumes. But for TSMC, it seems there will not be no problems with the supply of 28-nm-in 2013 .
The first 28-nm manufacturing TSMC company started with a volume of 1000 wafers per month in October 2011. This allowed AMD to start shipping the first extensive in the industry 28-nm GPUs in late 2011 and early 2012. The second quarter 2012 TSMC on its core best factory - Fab 15 - already produced 10,000 wafers per month. For everyone this was very little. Quarter after TSMC increased it by five-fold, and in a quarter expects to increase the volume by an additional 50%.
