At Computex, Intel plans to introduce the fourth generation of processors Core, codenamed Haswell. These decisions will implement a new graphics engine.
Intel Numeric indices did not change, but has introduced a new brand for the most advanced options - Iris (Iris in Greek mythology - the god of rainbow).
Among the innovations Intel mentions the increased performance, the availability of certain processors models to use more memory eDRAM, the ability to output images on three monitors at the same time, improved support for display with a resolution of Ultra HD ("4K x 2K"), support DisplayPort 1.2 interface, and DirectX technology 11.1, OpenGL 4.0 and OpenCL 1.2.
Intel promises to nearly double the speed of the video system regarding Haswell processors Ivy Bridge. And for the past 7 years, the performance of graphics solutions Intel rose 75 times.
Comparing the performance of integrated graphics, Intel draws a histogram in which the new processors are ahead of the precursors to large lead. Superiority measured value to 100-200%, depending on the selected for benchmark test and a processor model.
