According to research firm Gartner, in the third quarter last year the Chinese company Lenovo in shipments of personal computers for the first time surpassed HP company .  HP then returned to first place, helped by the traditional pre-Christmas sales boom in the United States and the celebration of the Lunar New Year in China.  According to analysts Gartner and IDC , Lenovo has once again regained the crown of leadership.  Separation is still small - at the level of 300,000 PCs. If we talk about the state of the PC market as a whole, it is possible to experience a double sense.  On  one hand,  IDC noted some excess of actual data on predicted  leveling of the situation in the PC market, and for a year it fell down by more than 10%.  On the other hand, the market for the year decreased by 11.4%.  During the period was delivered 75.6 million PCs.  According to Gartner - 76 million, corresponding to an annual reduction in the supply of 10.9%.  Because the numbers are roughly equal, then we will consider only IDC data . The causes of slow PC shipments are the same: weak demand for touchscreen devices and Windows 8, the high price of ultrabooks, the total lack of money in the masses, competition from tablets and smartphones.   This may indicate a readiness to renew lineups in anticipation of demand in the second half of the year, and the fears of the sellers in the absence of the demand. In the U.S., by contrast, there was some recovery.  Analysts attribute the activity of buyers in America with some stabilization of the economic situation in the country, as well as the proximity of the withdrawal of  Windows XP support.  Also, experts believe that the long-delayed transition to a new computer has finally launched in the majority of U.S. companies and   public.   If we talk about regions, in the U.S., PC shipments in the second quarter year- decreased only by 1.9%.  For comparison, in the previous three quarters  decline was more than 10%.  On the wave of demand for Dell's PC shipments for the first time in two years exceeded 3.8 million units. HP Leads the U.S. market   , Dell and with both brands hold about half of the local market.  Apple will take the third spot in America hit parade.  Its volumes - is 1.8 million systems in the quarter, which corresponds to a market share at 11.5%.  During the year, Apple's PC shipments fell by 0.5%.   In Europe.  Most of all notebook sales have decreased, as this is now the main products in the PC market.  In Japan, in contrast, there is some recovery ,but still low.  Sales of systems in China were much lower than expected.  India demand was better than predicted.   Finally, a brief on the major players of the PC market , Lenovo lead the PC market  , half of sales still account for the China market.  But this is changing.  The vendor wants to shift the focus on the developed markets.  This company now owns 16.7% of the global PC market, and the company shows the best prices.  In second place, HP.  Market share is 16.4%, but HP is the worst speaker of the three leaders: -7.7% for the year.  In third place, Dell with 12.2% share.  In the fourth place Acer company , which has reduced the supply by as much as 32.6%.  Current portion of Acer's PC market - 8.2%.  Fifth place for ASUS company , which holds 6.1% of the market .
