AMD plans to present dual core processors with K8 architecture , which work at 3.2 GHz frequency  . Today we have concrete information about AMD plans with the mastery of 3.0-3.2 GHz frequencies  using K8 architecture . The discussion will deal with servers processors. Now in AMD Price- list  are present the processors opteron x222 SE, which with 3.0 GHz frequency have TDP level on the order of 119-125 W. Already on the nearest Monday, simultaneously with opteron processors prices reduction, AMD will present the opteron processors  1222 (3.0 GHz) and Opteron 2222 (3.0 GHz), which have a TDP level not more than 95 W. Opteron processor 8222 (3.0 GHz) with the analogous thermal packet will appear only in autumn this year. Directly opteron x224 SE (3.2 GHz)  processors with TDP level  not more than 120 W will be announced in the sixth August this year. As Exception will be perhaps the model opteron 1224 SE (3.2 GHz, TDP=125 W) socket AM2, which will be presented in October- November. The athlon 64 X2 6400+ will have analogous characteristics but until the moment we could not confirm its existence. If it will be released , then this will happen only in autumn this year. The most interesting, that AMD succeed in improving the thermal characteristics of 90 nm models opteron, which work at 2.8 GHz frequency  . The opteron models x220 HE (2.8 GHz) with TDP level  not more than 68 W will begin to be supplied during October this year, their announcement should be expected in the first quarter of the following year. Let us again note, that these processors relate to the existing K8 generation , have two cores and are released with 90 nm technology. Related Products :
