Asus company already prepares as minimum one motherboard on base of chipset intel X 38- (P5E3 deluxe), which supports DDR- 3 and have two slots PCI express x16 with PCI express 2.0 support. As reports associate , asus company decided to add two motherboards on base Of intel x38 from the series republic gamers with the name maximus. The Two provided models are : Asus maximus formula ( witch will support DDR-2 memory ) , while Asus maximus extreme will propose support to DDR- 3 memory . The first motherboards will exist, also, in the SE version , which will differ in terms of the presence of water-block fusion on the north bridge chip . The motherboard asus maximus formula has the following characteristics: two slots PCI express x16, two slots PCI and three slots PCI express x1. Four slots DIMM ( ensure support up to 8 Gb memory DDR 2-1066 in dual-channel configuration ). It is expected that the retail price Of asus maximus formula will approach 300 Euro, and motherboard asus maximus extreme will be even more expensive. | ||
