Acting CEO of Ford this week has once again made it clear that is not going to change jobs and move to a similar position at Microsoft. This event has stoked interest in the topic of finding a new head of the corporation.
Reuters news agency, citing its own sources reported that Microsoft should decide on the candidacy of the future CEO in late January or February. At the end of this month, the company management's attention will be riveted to the quarterly report, which is scheduled for January 23. Chairman Bill Gates, who is a member of the committee in charge of finding a successor to Ballmer, will also take part in the World Economic Forum in Davos. Perhaps all of these activities to some extent distract management from Microsoft process of selecting a new head of the corporation.
Microsoft, with high probability, will be headed by a native of the corporation itself, and not an external candidate. Favorites Satya Nadella responsible for cloud solutions and the corporate sector, as well as Tony Bates, who is chief strategist for development.
