Devil's Canyon processors Series were succinctly presented at the opening of Computex 2014 by Intel Corporation President Renee James . The official press release only briefly reported that the company is ready to begin delivery of the first series processors for enthusiasts with four cores and a base frequency of 4 GHz. Strictly speaking, the sale of these processors will fall no earlier than June 25.
- Core i7-4790K -> four cores, Hyper-Threading, 4.0/4.4 GHz frequency, graphics system Intel HD 4600 with frequencies 350/1250 MHz, eight megabytes of cache, support dual channel DDR3-1600, TDP = 88 W, free multiplier price $ 350;
- Core i5-4690K -> four core frequency 3.5/3.9 GHz, the graphics system with Intel HD 4600 at 350/1200 MHz, six megabytes of cache, support for dual-channel DDR-1600, TDP = 88 W, free multiplier, price $ 243;
- Pentium G3258 -> two cores, Hyper-Threading, the frequency of 3.2 GHz, Intel HD graphics system with frequencies 350/1100 MHz, 3 megabytes of cache, support dual channel DDR3-1333, TDP = 53 W, free multiplier, price of $ 72.
As already noted, many motherboards based on chipset Intel eighth series can work with these processors after updating the BIOS. In addition to the improved thermal interface based on a polymer, these processors will receive additional capacitors on the substrate, allowing to achieve stable operation when overclocked. According to preliminary data, Pentium G3258 using air cooling overclock to 4.7 GHz, and Core i7-4790K can be satisfied with passive cooling at a frequency of 4.6 GHz. Related Products :
