The Chinese company ZTE, the second largest manufacturer of telecommunications equipment and mobile phones in China, talked about some of the financial results of its activities. By the end of 2014 the company recorded a 94.2 per cent increase in revenue against the backdrop of increasing demand for network systems and smartphones with support for 4G LTE.
According to Business Wire, in 2014 net profit reached 2.64 billion yuan (about US $ 424 million), compared with 1.36 billion yuan, obtained in 2015. In this case, the basic earnings per share is equal to 0.77 yuan. A total annual revenues of 81.24 billion yuan, an increase of 8% more than in 2013.
Gross profit ZTE in 2014 increased due to the work carried out to optimize business operations to achieve higher profitability. But the financial costs of the Chinese company, on the contrary, decreased due to the effective management of interest expense and foreign exchange risk.
It should be noted that ZTE has shown significant growth in the segment G TD-LTE and FDD-LTE in China and expanded its activities to produce smartphones with support for 3G and 4G LTE at the international level.
