According to the analytical office IDC, the tablet is in a state of decline. At the end of the second quarter 2015 it decreased by 7% compared to the same period of the year. Over the past three months, the world's supply of tablets accounted for 44.7 million units from 48 million units delivered during the second quarter of 2014.
Research Director, IDC Jean Philippe Bouchard noted that the iPad sales in the reporting period decreased by 26% to 10.9 million units. Nevertheless, it still remains the leading manufacturer of tablets, controlling 24.5% of the market. As for Samsung, which in the second quarter of 2015 has put 7.6 million tablets, then it accounts for 17%, making it the second largest producer.
Many analysts believe that the tablet market is no longer observed earlier experience record growth. This is due to the increased competition from smartphones with large screens and the fact that users buy a new model to replace the old tablets less often than is the case with smartphones.
