Researchers from the American Carnegie Mellon University with funding from the National Science Foundation are planning to create their own voice assistant named Gabriel. Unlike Siri, Google Now or Cortana, the artificial intelligence will "whisper" instructions and tips to the user's ear. For example, the program can suggest how to change a tire on the car, give artificial respiration or just help assemble furniture.
At the moment, Gabriel is the software, but the hardware will look like Google Glass. So Gabriel could replace video instructions YouTube, where visually shown what to do.
At the moment, developers have created a basic framework Gabriel, which includes the application of computer vision and cloud computing for mobile devices. The creators believe that Gabriel will help a person to carry out any tasks much faster. Instead of sending all of the data over the Internet to remote servers, wearable or mobile device can communicate with a PC via Wi-Fi, allowing you to save time required for instant solutions to important problems.
