The interest of producers in Intel atom processors is enormous. Almost all notebook producers  stated about their intentions to release mobile computers class centrino atom in the next six months. Their functional possibilities and price positioning is large ; therefore competition is not too high for producers. But here there was no data about the speed of silverthorne processors . To correct this situation , on exhibition CeBIT 2008 associate obtained access to one devices on base Of Intel atom from asus. Processor operated at 1.6 GHz frequency , equipped with 512 KB cache in the second level and support 533 MHz system bus. The super PI 1M test was executed in 1 minute 48 seconds. For comparison here is the result including mobile and desktop models. The same results can be presented in relative scale, based on Intel atom 1.6 GHz: Let us recall that the processors Intel atom support technology analog to hyper-Threading; therefore in some tasks with multithreaded optimization their result will be improved.
