Finally appeared information about the operating frequencies of the expected Intel processors , which will be used in Mobile Internet devices (MID) and Ultra mobile PC. The first information about the 45- nm processors silverthorne was available since April . Let us recall that Silverthorne is the penryn relative and the representative of LPIA processor (Low power Intel architecture), witch will be intended for UMPC in the following generations.  Silverthorne will become the heart for menlow platform . This CPU will become major step on MID devices development , UMPC and, possibly, it will be the heart for budget computers, supplied in developing countries.  Silverthorne technical specifications are : 512 KB cache in the second level, 45- nm technical process, operating frequencies 1,1-1,7 GHz, TDP 0,55 W (10 times lower than in UMPC model 2006). One important special features is the low prime cost of silverthorne production . On the 300- mm base layer are placed 2000 cores silverthorne (core silverthorne four times less than penryn core). According to some information the productivity Of silverthorne will be compared to Pentium M first generation, this is not too much, but for mobile terminals tasks and budget PC this will be completely sufficient.
