Solid state drives are M.2 type high data rate, but some of them may overheat during use, which leads to reduced performance. Aqua Computer has unveiled expansion card PCIe 3.0 x4 called KryoM.2, which can be equipped with a heat sink or water block.
Without cooling elements KryoM.2 expansion card is an adapter for connecting M.2 drive in slot PCIe 3.0, and will be useful to owners of systems with motherboards without M.2 connector. However, if the drive overheats, the top can be fixed aluminum heatsink for passive cooling, either copper water block, to connect the device to the circuit liquid cooling system. The water block has tapped holes G1 / 4 ". For better heat transfer, the installation of the water block or the radiator on both sides of the drive contains special heat-conducting substrate.
