We frequently see graphic card with displayPort interface from NVIDIA partners ; While AMD already support this interface for a long time. Video chip RV620, RV635 and RV670 support displayPort interface , and video card producers have only to place the appropriate port on the rear panel.
Yesterday AMD company in official press release reported that a number of its products obtained the official compatibility certificate with DisplayPort from VESA. Here we have the video card radeon HD 38xx, Radeon HD 3650, Radeon HD 34xx and integrated chipset AMD 780G. Dell company already sell monitors with displayPort support . The main displayPort advantages is the absence of license deductions , and also the possibility to transfer video and sound on one cable. Furthermore, to one displayPort port it is possible to connect up to four monitors. This Interface also allow to connect Web- camera, microphone and USB- disk . | ||
