AMOLED-display are gaining popularity among smartphone manufacturers. In the coming years they will occupy half of the market.

According to estimates of industry sources, in 2017 smartphones with AMOLED-display will take about 27.6% of the market, and by 2020, their share could rise to 50%. Samsung is still the leading manufacturer of the AMOLED-panel. And LG Display, Sharp and Japan Display Samsung Display for example increasing the volume of OLED-displays production. By producing AMOLED-panel also started Chinese companies EverDisplay Optronics (Shanghai), Tianma Micro-electronics and BOE Technology.

In 2016, shipments of smart phones with AMOLED-display reached 350 million units. Most of them were released the South Korean company Samsung.
