According to the overclock statistics of phenom X4 9850 Black edition (2.5 GHz) processors there was a few results with frequency more than 3.0 GHz. For example, with liquid cooling at 3.5 GHz frequency it was possible to pass CPU- Z validation, and at 3.2 GHz frequency the processor preserved stability in 3D applications. Some associate express hope for an improvement in the frequency potential of 65 nm processors phenom X4, although the model 9950 with 2.6 GHz frequency has all chances to become the last representative of this technical process, and further improvements in the frequency potential will be brought only by 45 nm processors. However, Associate succeeded to overclock the processor phenom X4 9850 Black edition to the frequency 3.2 GHz with vcore 1.33 v, and to the frequency 3.3 GHz with vcore 1.35 v.
