NVIDIA Management recently reported its plans to transfer the video chip production on 55 nm technology  - the corresponding migration will begin in this summer. In this context the frequently mentioned chip is the 55 nm g92b, which according to the existing assumptions, will replace the 65 nm video chip g92. NVIDIA considers that it is possible to recapture from competitors up to 15-25% of chipsets market form Intel platforms . Let us recall that the strongest player in this segment is Intel company  , which is considered as the most important graphical solutions producer due to its integrated chipsets. The single niche, where NVIDIA is not assembled to compete with other chipsets producers for intel platforms : this is the lowest part of budget segment, where competition occurs exclusively on the cost. As explained (Michael hara), NVIDIA Vice President , problems with the release level of suitable g92 chips occurred in the testing procedure stage .
