We come to the end of the second quarter, but the promised processor phenom X4 9950 (2.6 GHz) did not appear officially. The 2.6 GHz frequency within the B3 stepping has a high energy consumption - TDP value for this model is equal to 140 W. Asus company already noted, that its motherboard can work with this model after BIOS update .
It was noted that gigabyte motherboard on base of chipset AMD 790FX will not be able to support processor phenom X4 9950 (2.6 GHz), but the corresponding statement from the technical support representatives proved to be erroneous. Last BIOS update for the motherboard GA -MA790FX-Ds5 and GA -MA790FX-Dq6 , on 21 May propose the support of phenom X4 9950 (2.6 GHz) processor .  Let us note that GA -MA790X-Ds4 motherboard on base of AMD 790X chipset do not support this processor model . Related Products : | ||
