AMD is assembled to release a new processors generation, designed for installation in AM3 socket , in 2009. However according to the company plans with respect to the release of chipset, RD890 and RD880D are not ready. Consequently, the release of motherboards on their basis in first half of the next year is impossible. Probably; for this reason AMD decided to add AM3 support in 790FX chipset .
