Associarte already reported , this week, that NVIDIA partners began to obtain video cards on base of the new chip GT206, produced on 55 nm technology, directly the announcement of new products will takes place during November in the present year.
Here is the photographs of 55 nm chip GT206.  The diameter is equal to 25 mm.   GT206 has the sizes 22 X 22 mm, core area of approximately 484 sq. mm. this is lower in comparison with 65 nm nucleus GT200 (576 sq. mm). in other words, about 16% core area will be reduced, and here the GeForce GTX 2xx will begin to be more advantageous.  It is possible to compare also the GT206 chips and G80 (8800 GTX , 8800 ULTRA ...). The G80 area is equal to 480 mm, in this case the GT206 chip barely exceeds it according to the sizes.
