Alienware, the well-known producer of powerful desktop and mobile gaming systems, reported about the production of new gaming notebook model : Alienware model m17.
The special feature of this mobile system became the support of CrossFireX regime , which unites the power of two video processors ATI mobility radeon HD 3870, which support directX 10.1 API.
As a whole the system came out completely attractive .
Alienware m17 is based on the chipset Intel PM45 + ICH9M- E with 4- core processor Intel core2 quad. Data storage is realized by two 500- GB SATA-HDD, which work in the regime RAID 0 or RAID 1. The memory used is DDR 3-1066 SO-DIMM in the volume up to 4 GB (2 slots).
Optical drive (DVD±RW)Â has 8x high-speed , it support LightScribe or Blu-ray disc reader, which works with BD-ROM, DVD±RW and CD -Rw disks.

Due to the size of wide-format WUXGA or WXGA+ screen and the 12- cell lithium batteries, which make this device big enough , the mobile PC weight is 4,3 kg .
