On the past week AMD company presented the accelerator AMD fireStream 9270 and the new programs version ATI stream software development kit (SDK), which received the number 1.3.
In the opinion of companies, the announcement of accelerator and SDK is a new step in the fusion strategy, since it allow for AMD graphic processors to work together with the central processors, forming the balanced platforms, which are characterized by the increased performance and high energy effectiveness .  The accelerator AMD fireStream 9270 has a productivity of super-computer class. It can be installed in many servers and work stations. The required power is equal to 160 w, and the performance is 1,2 TeraFLOPS with single accuracy floating-point calculations or more than 240 gigaFLOPS with double precision floating-point calculations . The card include two GB GDDR5 memory. ATI stream SDK v1.3 contributes to the creation of applications with support to ATI stream technology. The accelerator AMD fireStream 9270 and ATI stream SDK v1.3 will be accessible at the end of this block .
