This spring AMD company presented a business- class processor . To recognize these processors is possible using the (B) suffix in the model designation , they are oriented for application in the corporate sector.
Associate with the reference to AMD documents reported that in the first quarter 2009 , AMD will add two new business- class model socket AM2+: Phenom X4 9850B (2.5 GHz) and Phenom X3 8850B (2.5 GHz).
In the third quarter 2009 will appear the first processors business- class for socket AM3 motherboard . Their characteristics will agree with the technical parameters of usual 45 NM processors generation phenom II, and names will consist on the (B) letter and two numbers.
For example, Phenom II X 4b93 (2.8 GHz) and Phenom II X 4b91 (2.6 GHz) will have four cores, 6 Mb cache in the third level and TDP value not more than 95 W. The three core processors phenom II X 3b73 (2.9 GHz) and Phenom II X 3b71 (2.7 GHz) will have 6 Mb cache in the third level and TDP value not more than 65 W. However, in the third quarter AMD will present the dual core processors athlon X 2b22 and Athlon X 2b21.
All these processors will become a part of kodiak platform together with integrated chipset AMD RS880. Those motherboards will support socket AM3 , DDR3 DIMM memory and also TPM 1.2 module.
