Yesterday we partially introduced the assumed characteristics of first 40 nm NVIDIA chip : GT216. But today appeared information about the announcement periods of the graphic processors GT212, GT216 and GT300.
- GT216 - > 40 nm technical process, 192- bit memory bus, 7 clusters (TPC), which will indicate the presence of 168 stream processors (SP), 56 textures sample units (TMU) and 12 blocks (ROP). On performance level this chip must slightly exceed G92. Tentative sale periods is the beginning of the second quarter 2009.
- GT212-> 40 nm technical process, high memory bus capacity , 384 or 480 stream processors. In the performance level it will be close to the GeForce GTX 295. This will allow to replace the two-chip solution GT200b with one chip, with the comparable performance level. Analogous replacement was already produced in the last summer , when the GeForce GTX 280 proved to be capable to replace the GeForce 9800 GX2. Tentative release date is the end of the second or the beginning of the third quarter 2009.
- GT300 - > 40 nm technical process, DirectX 11 support . Release is planned at the end of 2009.
