Hitachi global storage technologies (Hitachi GST) released a new HDD model cinemaStar C5K500. This is the 2,5 inches HDD, which has 500 GB capacity and intended for storing audio and video content . Such disks must be claimed in those applications, where for the work , the volume and energy-economical disk are required. The Model C5K500 is the representative of fourth generation series SFF- disks cinemaStar. It is calculated for constant use regimes : 24/7 and consumes up to 22% less energy than the previous model. CinemaStar C5K500 has the rotation speed 5400 RP/min; the device capacity is 500 GB, but there are also other cinemaStar versions with the capacity 160, 250 and 320 GB. The connection interface is SATA. In the idle regime, this disk consumes only 1,3 W energy. On sale cinemaStar C5K500 will appear in the second quarter this year. | ||
