It is not a surprise since this subject was often evoked, but AMD should slow down considerably the production of processors Socket 754 and Socket 939 in the weeks to come. A graph published by our associate clearly shows that at the end of the year, more than 95% of processors general public produced by AMD will be in Socket AM2. The production related to processors Socket 939 should then stop, while the remaining cpu will be allotted to the production of models Socket 754. Thing interesting to note, AMD does not make on this graph its future processors Athlon 64 FX for platform 4x4 which will be proposed with Socket 1207
At present, we still finds considerable ammount of processors AMD Socket 939 and Socket 754 in retailers store. But this should really change in 2007. users wishing to make update for their platform Socket 939 or Socket 754 with a simple change of processor will have to decide in the months to come.
