In May, we reported about AMD plans to present in the third quarter the single core processor sempron 140 (2.7 GHz) Socket AM3. The cache volume in the second level was equal to 1 mb., will allow it to compete with other athlon 64 models, and the design concept socket AM3 will ensure  DDR2-800, DDR3-1066 support ( hyperTransport 3.0), which works at 4 GHz frequency. The use of  45 nm technical process will allow to preserve the  TDP level within the 45 W with the default frequency .7 GHz. The sempron 140 processor with marking SDX140HBK13GQ (OEM) or SDX140HBGQBOX (box version) already appeared in the price lists of many foreign Internet- stores. Moreover, the OEM- processor version  can be purchased at eBay auction  . In the latter case, its price is equal to $45, and this is noticeably more expensive than the assumed official cost - $36. In this month AMD company  will update its price list, in this case will appear not only the processor sempron 140 ($36), but also the athlon II X2 240 ($60) and Athlon II X2 245 ($66), and also the processor phenom II X2 545 ($92). The price of athlon II X2 250 processor will be lowered from $87 to $76. In August this year AMD will also release new quad core processors. It is assumed that the announcement of sempron 140 processor is planned on July 22. During the same day will appear the more economical version of  phenom II X4 945 (3.0 GHz) processor, which has the TDP level not more than 95 W. Related Products :
