Describing TSMC problems with the adoption of 40 nm technological standards, we frequently called the release level of suitable chips not more than 25-30%. This meant that only each fourth released on 40 nm technology chip did not contain defects and could pass the release quality control. A similar rate placed under question the timely production of new video chips from AMD and NVIDIA. As reports associate with the reference to the statements of high-ranking TSMC representatives, at the present moment the release level of suitable 40 nm chips reached 60%. In the third quarter, the company intends to release 30 000 silicic plates, which contain 40 nm chips. TSMC will master the 32 nm technical process in the first quarter 2010, and in 2010-2011 it will release 28 nm technical process.  The deliveries volumes of  TSMC production on this year can be reduced to 19-20%, this more optimistic than previous forecast by 30%.
